Richard Berger works on a commission basis out of historic Freehold Borough. Mr. Berger is a 2005 alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, a 2003 graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and an independent scholar of art history and technique. From 2005 to 2010 Mr. Berger travelled throughout Europe, studing art independently and worked on commission in Italy, France, England, and Scotland. Today, he continues his work for public and private clients in the United States and abroad.
Since founding his studio in Freehold, Mr. Berger has designed and executed works for numerous churches including St. Rose of Lima (Freehold, NJ) St. Leo the Great (Lincroft, NJ) and Our Lady of Lourdes (Philadelphia, PA.) His private portraits includes those of doctors, military personal, and architects.
Mr. Berger's work is featured in many newspapers and magazines and he has lectured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Freehold Artist Society, and the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ.
He is a member of the Monmouth County Arts Council, the Monmouth County Historical Association, and a
Founding Member of the Freehold Borough Arts Council where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees.
